Goat Island Bottle Shop and Hopfly Brewing Company are proud to present Kalyna Rakel and Dan Gurman, two incredible musicians from Toronto, Canada who have overcome significant obstacles to share their music with the world.
This dynamic duo started playing together during the pandemic when music venues were closed, and they’ve been tearing up stages across the globe ever since. It’s amazing that they’ve already toured over 100,000 kilometers across Canada, the UK, Europe, America, Australia, and New Zealand! But now they’re back in Canada, and we’re thrilled to have them performing in Rocky Mount.
Kalyna wields a guitar, harmonica and drums while delivering gutsy vocals that fuse the power and unique qualities of Janis Joplin and Lena Lovich. When she performs, she commands your full attention and leaves it all on the stage. Her music is a visceral experience that will leave you breathless.
